The Adventure

The Odyssey is separated into 24 books, or chapters. Some books are related to each other and create a thematic group; Books 1-4 are known as the Telemachy because they focus on Telemachus as he searches for his long-lost father; and Books 9-12 comprise Odysseus’s narration of his famous wanderings.

While each book gets its own unique theatrical treatment, groups of books will be strung together as single events, then those groups will get strung together into larger events until the whole poem is presented together.
